As part of the AIORI 1 Workshop Series, the West Zone workshop brought together experts from academia, industry, and standards bodies to discuss the future of Internet measurement and standardization in India.
Dr. John Jose highlighted the academic role in developing resilient network infrastructure, while Mr. Anand Raje, CTO, IIFON showcased the technical capabilities of AIORI, an open, modular platform for real-time Internet measurements including DNS, IPv6, and latency tracking.
Amit Gupta, Advisor at TSDSI, emphasized India’s contributions to global standards and how platforms like AIORI can support standard validation.
Manikandan K, Director, BIS spoke on aligning innovation with national and international benchmarks and encouraged participation in standards development. Dr. Mansi Subhedar, PHCET, stressed academia’s role in fostering open innovation and student-driven projects. This workshop, one among five zonal events under AIORI 1, reaffirmed the need for collaborative, standards-based growth to build a measurable and secure Internet ecosystem for India.
