The AIORI 1 Workshop Series reached the vibrant North-East Zone, continuing its mission to strengthen India’s Internet measurement and standardization ecosystem. The workshop brought together key leaders to engage with regional participants on open innovation and ICT standards.
Mr. Anand Raje, CTO of AIORI and Trustee at the India Internet Foundation, led an engaging technical session on the AIORI platform, demonstrating its capabilities in distributed Internet measurements and DNS analysis. His session offered hands-on insights into how AIORI is enabling data-driven decision-making for researchers, operators, and policymakers alike.
Mr. Anupam Agrawal, Chair of the India Internet Foundation, emphasized the importance of ICT standards in fostering interoperable, scalable, and secure digital infrastructure. He encouraged participants to engage with standard-setting bodies like BIS, ISO, and ITU to contribute to India’s growing presence in global Internet governance.
Dr. John Jose, Vice Chair of the IEEE India Council, provided an academic lens to the discussions, underscoring the role of research, innovation, and student involvement in strengthening Internet resilience.
This workshop marked a meaningful step in extending AIORI’s open-source vision to the North-East, reinforcing the importance of inclusivity, regional participation, and knowledge sharing in building a standardized and measurable Internet for all.
