AIORI Node relocated to IISC Bangalore

Bangalore, 30 April 2025

We’re pleased to share that the AIORI node infrastructure in Bangalore has been successfully relocated from STPI Bangalore to the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), furthering our efforts to strengthen regional Internet observability from an advanced academic and research environment.

This move marks an important step in ensuring operational continuity, performance reliability, and deeper integration with cutting-edge network research initiatives. Situated within one of India’s premier institutions, the IISc-hosted AIORI node continues to support core functions like root server latency monitoring, DNS performance analysis, and IPv6 observability using AIORI’s modular toolset.

We extend our sincere thanks to both STPI Bangalore for their past support and IISc Bangalore for their ongoing partnership. This shift represents not just a change in location, but a renewed investment in collaborative research, infrastructure excellence, and a shared mission to advance open Internet measurements.

With every transition, AIORI continues to evolve into a resilient, research-oriented measurement network.
