Program Overview
Introduction to the FDP
- The AIORI-3 Faculty Development Program (FDP) is designed to equip faculty members with the knowledge, tools, and pedagogical insights required to understand the Internet ecosystem and mentor students in Internet research, measurement, standards, and operations. Through expert-led sessions, curated learning resources, and practical demonstrations, the program fosters a collaborative academic community committed to advancing Internet education and innovation.
Objectives and expected learning outcomes
- Build a strong foundation in Internet architecture, protocols, standards, operations, and measurement.
- Enable faculty to integrate Internet technologies and research methodologies into teaching and academic activities.
- Introduce participants to the AIORI ecosystem, tools, and collaborative research opportunities.
- Develop a network of educators capable of mentoring students in Internet measurement and innovation initiatives.

Time: 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM (IST)
- Faculties create and assign tasks to students, and the assignments require students to run internet measurements.
- Students must make the query linked with the assignment & also public so it can be accessed by the team for review.
- Students need to download our AIORI Mobile app. Then, they should check the network details for the device (mobile data vs Wi‑Fi), share screenshots, and run a latency test for domains like google.com/youtube.com or any pingable domain.
