The India Internet Foundation (IIFON), in collaboration with the IEEE India Council – IAYPC 2025, is organizing a two-month-long National Hackathon, set to commence with a pan-India National Workshop in the second week of August 2025. This flagship initiative aims to build awareness and technical capacity among students in the areas of Internet engineering, standards development, and network measurement.

The National Workshop is expected to witness participation from 50 colleges and more than 1000 students across the country.

To ensure students are well-prepared and institutions are actively engaged, a series of one-day faculty workshops will be conducted in 11 selected cities across five geographic zones of India. These faculty workshops are designed to equip educators with the technical knowledge and tools needed to guide their students through the hackathon journey.

As part of the arrangements:

• The registration charge for faculty participants is INR 590 (inclusive of GST).

• Payments are to be made directly to the India Internet Foundation (IIFON).

• To support hosting institutions, IIFON will reimburse INR 500 per registration, based on the number of confirmed registrations.

The workshops are being jointly conducted by the IEEE India Council and IIFON under the Advanced Internet Operations Research in India (AIORI) project—a national community development initiative supported by NIXI and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
