Faculty Development Program

The AIORI-3 Faculty Development Program aims to strengthen the capacity of faculty members to integrate Internet technologies, standards, and measurement practices into teaching, research, and student innovation. The program prepares educators to mentor students participating in AIORI initiatives and foster a collaborative ecosystem for Internet research across Indian higher education institutions.

Timeline, Expectations & Deliverables from Faculties

Faculty Onboarding
15th Jun to 30th Jun 2026
Decide to participate in the program. Submit the EOI Google Form. Confirmation will be sent by the AIORI team upon selection.
Faculty Development Program (FDP)
1st Jul to 31st Jul 2026
Attend the online training (2 sessions of 1.5 hours each). Training successfully completed. Faculty receives the FDP Certificate.
AIORI Workshop
1st Aug to 15th Sep 2026
Conduct a workshop with a minimum of 50 participants. Students and other faculty members may be invited. Register the workshop on the AIORI Portal. Share photographs, participant metrics, and workshop report. Faculty receives an honorarium of ₹4,000 and a certificate.
Call for Hackathon
16th Sep to 30th Sep 2026
Encourage participation and register teams. Help teams select a track and problem statement. Submit a problem statement, if any. Confirmation received from the AIORI Team. Each team consists of 3 members (2 students and 1 faculty mentor). Maximum 3 teams per faculty.
Online Hackathon
1st Oct to 31st Oct 2026
Mentor the teams locally. Receive an additional ₹2,000 upon team registration and submission of progress updates. Ensure teams participate in review sessions, GitHub submissions, and mentoring activities conducted by AIORI. Based on performance, teams will be shortlisted for the Regional Hackathon.
Regional Hackathon
1st Nov to 30th Nov 2026
Apply to become a Host Institute. Support funding of ₹4,000 will be provided. Conduct the Regional Hackathon. Three Regional Hackathons will be conducted. Ten teams per region will participate, and two teams from each region will be selected.
ISEA Conference – AIORI Track
Dec 2026
Share the final presentation deck and working code. Present the final deliverable in the AIORI Track. Travel expenses for selected teams will be supported.
